For various business activities such as operating a café and restaurant, importing and exporting goods, or even owning a wheelbarrow to earn income in Oman, registering a company is essential.
The company registration process is overseen by the Ministry of Industry in Oman. Initially, shareholders are required to provide a copy of their passports along with the founding contract. This documentation is then submitted to the ministry along with the registration request, accompanied by the necessary fees. Once the documents are received and verified, the company is officially registered, and shareholders are issued a CR (Commercial Registration) number. Subsequently, the next step involves applying for the business card (also known as the assignment certificate) and the company’s tax card.
